Advertising Tip

Be careful with ezine co-ops. They're usually made up of a bunch of new and or un-targeted ezines. They also tend not to run your ad. If you still want to try it, make sure they offer a guarantee before advertising with them.

Ezine Reviews

Here are my personal opinions and recommendations based on my transactions
with the various ezines from the ad rate table. I list them as: Highly Recommend,
Recommend, and Don't recommend. I rated them on criteria such as the ad response
rate, customer service, and overall professionalism.
Update: Ezine owners receiving my highest recommendation have agreed to keep me informed of any updates to their site including any time that they may be away from their business. Bookmark this page.

Vector Central
My experience with Vector Central was A+ all the way. Immediate confirmation
of ad, great response, and fantastic customer support. Also Susan(the publisher)
will publish your ad in html format or plain text. Very professional. All this for $25.
Bio: Susan Nichols has been working online for over 6 years and is doing this fulltime. She is married to professional musician, Bill Nichols. She designed and maintains his site:http://www.jazznlight.com Great music! Check it out.

Overall opinion: Highly Recommend

ABIZ Solo Ads
Great customer service and response. A great bargain. This ezine is growing fast.

Overall opinion: Highly Recommend

Money Making Mommy
Instant confirmation plus an unbelievable response rate make this a sure winner.
The only down side is a 4-6 week wait. I'll definitely be running more ads in this one.
I look to see this one make it as one of my highest recommended in the future.

Overall opinion: Recommend

Evers Enterprise
Same as above. Two thumbs up!

Overall opinion: Recommend

Ads Market Ezine
Cheap price, fast response and scheduling make this a good choice for advertising.
Also a good place to test your ads.
Update: Recently reduced solo ad rate to $5.50

Overall opinion: Recommend

AplusBiz Marketing Journal
Fast confirmation and scheduling. Good overall response rate. I took advantage of the free classified ad when signing up and received an additional 5 visitors.
Note: purchased buy one get one free solo ad through My Wizard Ads

Overall opinion: Recommend

Ultimate Resource Barn
Great ad response and cheap prices. Slow ad confirmation and unresponsive to
questions is the only thing keeping this ezine from shining. They might benefit
from an online form to ensure no problems with emails(like ads or questions)
being filtered. So far though, every ad ran as promised.

Overall opinion: Recommend

STWebFX
Ad response a little low probably due to the fact that the exact same ad ran the
day before.(from another member in the same program) Fast confirmation and
both ads ran as scheduled. Further testing planned. Note: purchased buy one
get one free solo ad through My Wizard Ads
Update: Not offering solo ads at this time.

Overall opinion: Recommend

The Free Work at Home Newsletter
Good ad response and price. Fast confirmation. Takes a couple of days to receive
the order instructions. Note: subscribers get a chance to win a free solo ad as an
incentive to view the ad and answer a question from the ad. Still got a good sign
up rate though.

Overall opinion: Recommend

Best News Marketing
The response to my ad was a bit low and I had to request confirmation and
scheduling. Both ads ran as promised on the dates scheduled. This ezine will
need further testing. Note: purchased buy one get one free solo ad through
My Wizard Ads

Overall opinion: Recommend

Money Machine
The ad response was a little on the low side. I did receive immediate confirmation
and scheduling.(As you've probably noticed, I LOVE quick confirmations because
then I know they received the money and plan to run the ad as opposed to
sitting on my hands wondering if I got rooked)
Update: Only offering solo ads through co-op. I find co-ops to be risky, so be aware.

Overall opinion: Recommend

E4U Newsletter
I bought a 2 for 1 solo ad special. Fast, friendly service but a little low on the
response. I would recommend when on sale.

Overall opinion: Recommend

Sunnydays4ever
I bought the 2 for 1 text solo ad for $10.(on sale, normally $15) Speedy confirmation
and both ads ran on the dates promised. This ezine is not tightly targeted, thus
the response was a bit low. I did get 2 signups to my free offer on both days
that probably came from this ad, so I'll recommend it when on sale.

Overall opinion: Recommend

Work at Home Moms
Tremendous response rate(the best so far). Excellent customer service and Linda
is very attentive to details. The only drawback is a long waiting list. It took about
3 months for my ad to run. They tell you in advance how long the wait is. Your
best bet is to test your ad in one of the other ezines first. Also, be sure that the
deal you advertise is something you plan to be involved with for a long time.
Update: Not offering solo ads at this time.

Overall opinion: Recommend

The Upper Hand Ezine
Another top notch experience. Fast confirmation and scheduling. Great customer
service and phenomenal ad response. Justina provides value and professional
support. Note: since the first ad results in the table, subscription base has more
than doubled and the price is now two solo ads for $25. Still a great bargain.
Update: This ezine is temporarily down for some reason. Justina is not answering her email right now. She may be away from her business due to vacation or emergency. Please email her first for availability of advertising.

Overall opinion: Recommend

The Raybourne Effect
Purchased a lifetime solo ad. (1 solo ad per month as long as I stay subscribed) The first ad produced 67 visitors for an excellent response. The ad confirmation and scheduling took a couple of months. The publisher, Michelle Raybourne explained that it was due to an illness that kept her away from the computer. She says she's back to work now and able to serve her clients.

Overall opinion: Recommend

TAMMezine
Well run, eithical ezine that provides excellent ad response at cheap prices.
Note: Your ad stays archived for 3 months providing a steady stream of traffic.

Overall opinion: Recommend

Haleys Comet: http://www.haileyscometweekly.com/
Very friendly and responsive to emails but slow to actually run the ad. My text ad was supposed to run twice(special buy one get one free)but only ran once. Ran a copy of my website as html for first ad which was strange and finally ran my text ad after 3 email request.

Overall opinion: Don't Recommend

Elf Ezine: http://elfexpressionsezine.com/lastarticle.html
Fast confirmation and scheduling. Too low on the ad response. May need further
testing.

Overall opinion: Don't Recommend

Biz Source Plus: http://bizsourceplus.com/ads.htm
Quick confirmation and scheduling. Poor ad response. Note: subscription count
increased to 39,000 with a price increase to $29.95. I plan to test again.

Overall opinion: Don't Recommend

A New Home Biz: http://www.anewhomebiz.net/
The first time around was great. Good ad response and fast confirmation and
scheduling. The next time was not. Slow ad confirmation combined with a new
"co-op" ad that netted one visitor.(you find out about the co-op after you pay) :-(

Overall opinion: Don't Recommend

Free Ads For Millions: http://www.freeads4millions.com/solo_advertising.html
Terrible response to ad. 6 visitors for $50. Bad investment.

Overall opinion: Don't Recommend

Web Ads Newsletter: http://cczon.com/
Initial ad went very well in terms of ad response and customer response. Second
run produced 0 response. Note: they started using "co-op" advertising which
usually does poorly.

Overall opinion: Don't Recommend

Boaze Publishing: http://realaffiliate.com/ra.cgi?adminid=253&id=5603
6 visitors for $80. I guess they don't want repeat business. They bury your "solo"
ad within a newsletter. Purchased buy one get one free solo ad through My Wizard Ads

Overall opinion: Don't Recommend

Endless MTS Home Business: http://homebizandmore.biz/advertising.html
0 ad response and no response to my emails. Don't think they even ran the ad.
Gladly took my money though.

Overall opinion: Don't Recommend

Swannanoa Gazette: http://errol7.50megs.com/Swannanoa.html
Same as above.

Overall opinion: Don't Recommend

Rim Digest: http://www.rimdigest.com/ads.html
Fast and friendly confirmation but disappointing ad response. I've seen other
reviews giving positive remarks about their advertising. It's just too pricey
for the response I received.

Overall opinion: Don't Recommend

The Online Exchange: http://www.online-exchange.com/advertising.htm
Fast confirmation and scheduling. Poor ad response. It would probably help
if they ran just the ad title in the subject line.

Overall Opinion: Don't Recommend

HitOverload: http://www.hitoverload.com/
The only thing that got hit was my wallet. Gary gave a fast confirmation and
even emailed me back to tell me he moved it up to that day. Further attempts
to contact him about why my ad never ran resulted in no anwer.

Overall opinion: Don't Recommend

Aim Direct Ezine: http://www.aimdirect-ezine.com/advertise.shtml
Here's the ultimate (so far) in unethical ezine advertising. Carmen Maranon,
the publisher, took my $175 for a solo ad and refused to run my ad or refund
my money when the ad never ran. She only answered one support ticket, saying
she would run the ad.(which of course she never did) Further attempts to contact
her produced no response. A pretty good sign of a scam.

Overall opinion: Don't Recommend
